Stepping into a street that is unexpectedly empty always makes me uneasy.
Where is everybody? Do they know something I don’t know? What’s going on?
(paintings by Giorgio di Chirico)
Lonely streets also kinda remind me of the empty post-plague city in Omega Man… yikes!
(No decade has coughed up more depressing and unpleasant movies than the 1970s. If you like downbeat, pessimistic views of the future, you can’t do much better than Soylent Green 1973 and Omega Man 1971!)
